I am a PRIVATE (for fun) pilot and honestly, yes I do (mildly) regret it.
Flight training was extremely fun and interesting, I spent about a year out at the airport at least twice a week, met lots of great people and learned a ton.
You may regret it if you don’t make a career of it.
